SkateBits is a live multiplayer skateboarding game. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. By using the SkateBits app or website, you agree to this policy.

Some of these providers operate servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Data may be transferred and processed in those regions using standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

5. Data Retention

Account, profile, game history, and chat data are retained for as long as your account is active. Live audio and video streams are not retained. Push tokens are removed when you uninstall the app or disable notifications.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your SkateBits account directly from within the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@skatebits.app.

Account deletion removes your profile, chat threads (and all messages within them), and your authentication record. The following data is retained for the reasons noted:

SkateBits is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest via Firebase, and strict authentication scopes — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures consistent with the sensitivity of the data we hold.

If we become aware of a personal data breach that poses a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the timeframes required by applicable law (within 72 hours under GDPR).

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page, and the "Effective date" above will be updated.
